Michael Brown, Co-Founder & Treasure
Michael Brown, a veteran of 11 NBA seasons, former head coach in the NBA’s Developmental League, and assistant coach with the Chicago Bulls, hung up his sneakers and whistle and moved from the NBA courts to the juvenile courts. A Newark, NJ native graduated from George Washington University with a degree in Criminal Justice, Mike is helping youth to find their path and motivation in live.
Magann Jordan, President
Magann Jordan is the Program Administrator for the Victim/Witness Assistance Center with the Clark County District Attorney’s Office and an adjunct instructor for the Criminal Justice Department at the University of Nevada, Las Vegas. Prior to working for the Clark County District Attorney’s Office, Magann was the Director of the Youth Advocate Programs; a non-profit dedicated to assisting youth and families in the Clark County area. In addition to donating her time to various non-profit agencies, Magann participates in the Clark County Human Trafficking Task Force, UNLV’s Mock Trial Club, STOP DUI, member of the Community Coalition for Victim’s Rights and the Nevada Council for the Prevention of Domestic Violence. Magann obtained a Bachelor’s and Master’s Degree from UNLV in Criminal Justice and has written/co-written multiple articles in various journals, most recently, in Paradigm Magazine, “High Risk Behaviors among Sexually Exploited Youth” with Dr. Alexis Kennedy. Magann is on a mission to help others and to give a voice to victims of violence.
Danielle Green, Secretary
Danielle Green of RadicallyCurly.com has over 20 years in the Artistry of Hair Design. She is an insightful educator & colorful leader within the beauty industry. Although Radically Curly® serves the local Las Vegas community, many of Danielle’s clients who do research on curly hair, find her and travel from all over the world to have their hair done by her. They enjoy her expertise in coloring and shaping hair of all textures and her professionalism & warm personality. Green was awarded the Be Curly Hang Straight Award, and received the Train the Trainer Certification from the prestigious Aveda Institute. Featured in Rock Over America magazine, Danielle is an environmentally conscious stylist. Green has always felt strongly about giving back to the community and environment. She has offered not only her personal time, but also her hair services and performed fund raising activities for various organizations including; Hope For Lives, The AmericanCancer Society, Look Good Feel Better, St. Baldrick’s and Black Girls Code. Ms. Green plans to continue her humanitarian work with The Embracing Project and enrich the lives of deserving children around the world.
Missy Yager, Director
As a member of the Naked Angels Theater Company, Missy has performed in numerous productions in both New York City and Los Angeles. Other theater credits include Broadway: THE DIARY OF ANNE FRANK with Natalie Portman. Off-Broadway: THE STARRY MESSENGER (new Group), THIS IS OUR YOUTH (New Group, Second Stage), RABBIT HOLE (Geffen Playhouse, Garland Award) the title character in Horton Foote’s LAURA DENNIS (Signature Theater). Film credits include: Aftermath, After The Fall and The Track (all three, soon to be released), Certainty, B Girl, Dead Man Walking, Fish in the Bathtub, Broken Giant. TV credits include: “Mad Men” (recurring), “Private Practice” (recurring), “My Own Worst Enemy” (recurring) “$5.15/hr.” (directed by Richard Linklater for HBO), “Six Feet Under” (recurring), “Boston Public” (series regular), “The Mike O’Malley Show” (series regular). Web series include: “Faux Baby” and “Wainy Days.” As a producer, Friends with Kids (Associate Producer), After the Fall (Co-Producer), and The Track (Executive Producer).
Christine Maddela, Director
Christine Maddela is the weeknight evening news anchor on FOX5 News in Las Vegas. She has worked as a volunteer and mentor for organizations like the YMCA, Big Brothers Big Sisters and the Boys and Girls Club. She also started a scholarship in her brother’s name after he tragically died in a car crash in 2008.
Christine joined FOX5 from WCAU-TV in Philadelphia, where she was a reporter and anchor. Prior to Philly, she was an anchor and reporter at WKRN-TV in Nashville, TN, with a stint also in Washington DC and El Paso, TX.
Throughout her career, Maddela has received numerous honors for her work, including an Edward R. Murrow Award, “Best TV News Anchor” Associated Press Award and six Emmy Award nominations.
Maddela began her career in Columbia, MO, while she attended the University of Missouri School of Journalism. She graduated from Mizzou with a bachelor’s degree in journalism and a double minor in political science and Spanish.
